LOVE HINA EPISODE LISTINGS
Keitaro Urashima is a socially-challenged, love-shy young man who is desperately working to pass the entrance exam to Tokyo University, in order to fulfill a promise he had made to a childhood girlfriend. However, being less academically gifted than the average Japanese male, compounded with his poor studying habits and extremely bad luck, he has managed only to fail the test a total of three times, thereby making him a third-year "ronin", his future bleak and unsure. His grandmother later grants him ownership of the Hinata Inn, an all-girl's dormitory. Keitaro's clumsiness lands him into deep trouble with the girls at the Hinata Inn as he is prone to accidentally seeing them naked or tripping and touching them inappropriately. The girls, all of them without exception being maniacal feminazis given to mercurial mood swings and perpetual PMS, all lash out at him when this occurs, being driven by nothing more than pure impulse, emotion, and feminism, never even once considering that what happened could have been an accident.
Love Hina is unique among harem animes in that the male lead character is never given any positive encouragement by the ladies in the show. Instead, he toils about the Hinata like a slave, erstwhile being subject to their constant nagging and outbursts of anger. He starts to show feelings early on for Naru Narusegawa, and soon they both begin to encourage one another to study hard so they can both enter Tokyo University. It is also hinted that Naru Narusegawa may in fact be the childhood girlfriend he had made a promise to that morning so long ago...
